XTENT's customizable drug eluting stent systems are designed to enable the treatment of single, multiple and long lesions with one device.

Customizable Stent Length & Diameter
XTENT Custom NX stent's proprietary modular design consists of multiple 6mm cobalt chromium segments that are interdigitated. The stent's interdigitation is designed to enable separation at each 6mm segment, which enables the customization of the length and diameter of stent placed in situ, or at the treatment site. We believe the ability to customize the length and diameter of the stent while in the patient's artery may reduce the incidence of geographic miss, which has been associated with an increased risk of thrombosis and reintervention.
Single, Multiple and Long Lesions With One Device

Treatment of Multiple Lesions with One Device After the first target lesion is covered with the desired stent length, the Custom NX system can be reset and used to treat an additional lesion with any remaining stent segments.

Treatment of Long Lesions without Multiple Overlapping Stents XTENT Custom NX 60 is designed to effectively treat longer sections of diseased artery as compared with current fixed-length alternatives. We believe our ability to cover a long lesion with a single stent may reduce the need to use one or more overlapping stents to treat long lesions. Overlapping stents have been associated with complications including in-hospital non-Q wave myocardial infarction, thrombosis, non-focal restenosis, delayed endothelialization and greater potential for stent fracture.

Designed With Safety In Mind

Biodegradable Drug Carrier XTENT Custom NX stents are coated with Biolimus A9^® and PolyLactic Acid, a biodegradable drug carrier used to release the drug over time. We believe the biodegradability of the drug carrier may reduce the potential for late stent thrombosis, an issue that has been associated with durable polymers.
Sheath Protected Stent Delivery Our Custom NX delivery system is sheath protected. The sheath protects the stent and drug coating as the system is delivered to the target lesion. Its hydrophilic coating is designed to provide enhanced deliverability.
Integrated Post-Dilatation Balloon Our Custom NX balloon can be shortened, repositioned and reinflated in situ for post-dilatation. Post-dilatation is used to optimize stent expansion and improve stent apposition to the vessel wall. Stent underexpansion has been demonstrated to contribute to stent thrombosis and restenosis and incomplete stent apposition has been associated in recent studies with late and very late stent thrombosis.

Conformable Interdigitated Stent Design The Custom NX modular interdigitated stent is designed to allow an artery to maintain its natural shape and curvature. Changes in artery shape following stent procedures have been associated with major adverse cardiac events.
